PLANO, Texas (Oct. 4, 2024) – Approaching its 25th year in the Lexus lineup, the IS continues to be a popular Lexus vehicle for first–time luxury owners. For 2025, the IS line broadens its available options with a new limited edition.
IS 300 F SPORT and IS 350 F SPORT
The IS 300 F SPORT and IS 350 F SPORT grades receive updates to their list of standard equipment, including: standard power folding mirrors with dark chrome trim (plus dimming function); standard power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel; standard memory package (driver’s seat, steering wheel, outside mirrors); and standard dark chrome window trim.
IS 300 F SPORT Design and IS 350 F SPORT Design
Based on customer feedback, a heated steering wheel has been added as standard equipment to these popular F SPORT grades. After being introduced for the first time on select grades of the IS last year, a standard heated steering wheel is the only addition to these grades for 2025.
IS 500
For 2025, the IS 500 F SPORT receives standard power folding mirrors. In addition, a new Special Appearance Package is available on IS 500 F SPORT Premium grades and includes: 19-inch BBS® wheels; eye-catching Flare Yellow exterior paint; Black NuLuxe® -trimmed interior with suede inserts and yellow stitching; color-coordinated floor mats and key gloves; and a SmartAccess Card Key. This package will be limited to 180 units in and is expected to go on sale later this year.

The Lexus Driving Signature Lives at Shimoyama.
Since Lexus launched, the tactile feel, behavior and execution for each model has been driven by the vision and efforts of the Chief Engineer (CE). Lexus Driving Signature is a key pillar of the Lexus Next Chapter and represents a fundamental shift in the brand’s product development process and culture. Through this process, the efforts of the CE are focused on elevating the vehicles to an enhanced standard of performance and handling. The ultimate goal is to deliver Lexus vehicles that are designed with a shared brand identity that includes responsive and linear control; exceptional handling, grip and confidence; and refined ride quality and quietness. These elements are realized through rigorous testing and evaluation at the Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama.
Fast, Fun, Ferocious
All F SPORT models include unique visual and performance features, like a distinct front bumper with functional aerodynamics and F SPORT badges on the sides.
The IS’s bold exterior combines muscular fenders to fit the available 19-inch wheels and a wide, low stance that reflects its high driving performance, highlighted by sharp side and shoulder lines.
Slender headlamps with L-shaped daytime running lights emphasize a low center of gravity, complemented by redesigned triple-beam LED headlights and a low-profile hood.
Rocker panels add to the IS's sleek side profile, tapering into muscular rear wheel wells. Sloped rear-quarter pillars wrap around the cabin, contrasting with the rear fenders for a more aggressive look.
At the rear, the fenders merge with a lowered deck, creating a low stance and wider appearance. The striking rear design features a three-dimensional, press-in mold rear deck and an L-shaped lightbar that spans the width.
The 2025 IS Family offers ten exterior colors, including Ultra White*, Eminent White Pearl*, Cloudburst Gray*, Iridium*, Incognito, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, Infrared**, Grecian Water, and Ultrasonic Blue Mica **.

Bask in Cabin Comfort
The IS interior includes NuLuxe seats, a 10-way power driver seat, 8-way power front passenger seat, dual-zone climate control, an optional power moonroof, and push-button start.
F SPORT models add unique door trim with embossed patterns, and interior accents in Black Metallic, Geometric Film, or exclusive Satin-finish for IS 500 F SPORT. Standard colors include Black, Glazed Caramel, and Rioja Red, with options like Circuit Red and two-tone White/Black for F SPORT models.
The IS has a standard 8-inch touchscreen, with a 10.3-inch version available for navigation or premium audio. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are included.
The optional Mark Levinson® audio system features 17 speakers and 1,800 watts for enhanced sound quality and 7.1 surround sound.
Drivetrains and Powertrains
The 2025 IS offers rear- and all-wheel drive options with four powertrain choices:
- IS 300 RWD: Features a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. It includes an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift transmission with adaptive controls for a smooth, efficient ride.
- IS 300 AWD: Powered by a 3.5-liter V6, delivering 260 horsepower and 236 lb.-ft. of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission. It adjusts torque distribution to enhance traction, providing up to a 50:50 split in slippery conditions.
- IS 350: Available in both RWD (0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds) and AWD (0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds) with a 3.5-liter V6 engine. RWD models use the eight-speed transmission, while AWD models have a six-speed automatic.
- IS 500 F SPORT Performance: A high-performance model with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, producing 472 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic, and it features a distinctive quad exhaust system.
Safety: The 2025 IS includes Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, offering:
- Pre-Collision System: With Frontal Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and detection for pedestrians and bicyclists.
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control: Maintains set distance, can operate down to 0 mph, and aids in overtaking slower vehicles.
- Lane Departure Alert & Lane Tracing Assist: Helps keep the vehicle centered and provides corrective steering if needed.
- Intelligent High Beams & Road Sign Assist: Automatically adjusts headlights and displays road sign information.
These features prioritize performance, safety, and comfort, catering to a range of driving preferences.
