RESTON, Va., Oct. 24, 2024 – Audi has introduced the 2025 RS Q8 Performance, its most powerful production SUV to date, with a 631-hp 4.0L biturbo V8. This top-tier model combines everyday practicality with exceptional handling and acceleration. Key upgrades include carbon ceramic brakes, retuned adaptive sport air suspension, and an optimized quattro® AWD system. The RS Q8 Performance also features refreshed exterior design elements, matte carbon packages, and enhanced interior RS design options, reflecting updates made to the 2025 Q8 and SQ8 models.

With the 2025 RS Q8 Performance, Audi Sport sharpens the driving dynamics of its flagship SUV. A new front apron with large air intakes, honeycomb structure, and matte gray blade marks it as the top model. The Singleframe grille features a redefined three-dimensional honeycomb design. At the rear, twin oval tailpipes and a diffuser with a wedge-shaped reflector emphasize its top-tier status.

BITURBO V8 ENGINE IN TOP SPEC; STANDARD QUATTRO® ALL-WHEEL DRIVE
The advanced 4.0L biturbo V8 in the 2025 RS Q8 Performance is Audi Sport’s most powerful production engine, generating 631 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. It propels the SUV from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 190 mph. A lighter exhaust system reduces back pressure for more power and a sportier sound, with an optional RS sport exhaust enhancing it further. The RS Q8 Performance comes standard with permanent quattro® AWD and an eight-speed Tiptronic® transmission for faster shifts. A mechanical center differential distributes torque 40:60 front to rear, adjusting dynamically to improve cornering precision and reduce understeer.

ADAPTIVE AIR SUSPENSION AND ACTIVE ROLL STBILIZATION
The RS Q8 Performance features RS-tuned adaptive air suspension with controlled damping, allowing a ride height variation of up to 3.5 inches for an ideal blend of sportiness and comfort. It also comes equipped with electromechanical active roll stabilization (eAWS), which uses electric motors on each axle to minimize body lean during cornering while improving ride stability on uneven surfaces. A 48-volt battery powers the eAWS, providing up to 1.5 kW of power to each motor. Additionally, standard all-wheel steering enhances agility and stability, turning the rear wheels up to 1.5 degrees in sync with the front at high speeds, and up to 5 degrees in the opposite direction at low speeds for improved maneuverability.

NEW LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY, LIGHTER WHEELS, AND RS-SPECIFIC OPTION PACKAGES
The 2025 RS Q8 Performance comes standard with HD Matrix-design LED headlights featuring Audi laser light, distinguished by their blue housing and a focused high beam. New digital daytime running lights offer five customizable signatures, including a checkered-flag design exclusive to this model. It also introduces digital OLED rear lights with five selectable light patterns paired with the front DRL signatures.

The RS Q8 Performance offers nine paint finishes, including three new options: Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue, and Chili Red. Standard Matte gray exterior elements include mirror caps, window surrounds, front spoiler, side flaps, and rear diffuser trim, with the remaining trim finished in high-gloss black. Optional packages include a Black Optic package with 23" bi-color wheels and black exterior trim, and a new Matte Carbon package featuring matte black wheels and trim with matte carbon accents.

The RS Q8 Performance's 23" lightweight-alloy wheels, inspired by motorsports, are forged to improve brake cooling and reduce unsprung weight by 11 lbs per corner. These wheels come in bicolor metallic black, matte gray, or matte black, paired with high-performance Pirelli P Zero tires. The standard RS ceramic brakes measure 17.3” front and 14.6” rear, paired with 10-piston front calipers, available in gray or red.

The interior offers a red or gray RS design package plus, featuring contrasting stitching on the floor mats, steering wheel, seatbelts, and center console. Alcantara covers the steering wheel, while Dinamica microfiber enhances door panels and armrests. The package includes sports seats with honeycomb-patterned stitching, embossed RS logos, and carbon twill matte inlays.

Additional features include an “RS performance” entrance LED projection, and the 12.3" Audi virtual cockpit plus with a shift light indicator that changes colors to optimize gear changes. Launch Control is also integrated, enabling 0-60 mph sprints in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 190 mph.
