TORONTO, Ontario (September 17, 2024) – The 2025 Toyota Sienna continues to innovate with a sporty design, spacious functionality, and standard Hybrid powertrain. New features include a radar-based Advanced Rear Seat Reminder, which detects movement in the rear seats, and refreshed interior styles with updated tech, colors, and materials.
The Platinum grade now comes standard with a Vacuum and FridgeBox™ in the center console, while all models offer the latest Toyota Multimedia system, with an optional 12.3-inch touchscreen. XSE, Limited, and Platinum grades also feature a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.
Cabin design updates include Macadamia and Black leather seats on the Platinum, SofTex® trimmed seats on XSE and XLE, and a cool Gray woven fabric for the LE. The center consoles also get new finishes, from woodgrain on Platinum to gloss black on XSE.
New wheel designs are available, including two-tone metallic clad wheels on the Platinum. Exterior updates include darkened trim on the XSE and a new Magnetic Gray Metallic color for the Limited and Platinum. The Hybrid Electric Vehicle badge is now on all grades.
For 2025, a faster Qi wireless phone charger is standard, along with dual microphones for clearer calls and USB-C charging throughout the cabin.
ADVANCED REAR SEAT REMINDER – A GLOBAL TOYOTA FIRST
The 60GHz radar in the Advanced Rear Seat Reminder scans the second and third rows for movement. If movement is detected after the ignition is off, the driver's door is opened and closed, and the vehicle is locked, the system will flash hazard lights and sound the door lock chime.
After 1.5 minutes, if movement persists, the horn will sound. Four minutes later, a push notification or SMS will be sent via the Toyota app, followed by an automated call two minutes after. Unlike ultrasonic systems, this radar detects movement under objects like blankets and works in low light. The feature can be disabled if needed and remains active for up to 10 years or as long as 4G connectivity is available.
ENTERTAINMENT, TOYOTA STYLE
The 2025 Toyota Sienna features the latest Toyota Multimedia system, developed by Toyota’s software teams. The LE comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, while XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum grades get a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Through intuitive touch and voice commands, users can control the system, with Limited and Platinum grades offering a 3-year Drive Connect trial for Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, and 24/7 Destination Assist. "Hey Toyota" voice commands handle tasks like directions, audio, and cabin temperature, while Cloud Navigation and OTA updates enhance functionality.
The system also offers wireless Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, HD Radio®, USB data, and SiriusXM® (three-month trial). For audiophiles, a 12-speaker JBL® Premium Audio system is available on XSE and standard on Limited and Platinum, using Clari-Fi® technology to enhance sound quality.

Each Toyota Sienna comes with a variety of Connected Services trials depending on grade. The LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum come with the following Connected Services:

ROBUST SAFETY FEATURES
All 2025 Sienna models come standard with second-generation Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0), a comprehensive active safety system that includes:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist

For safety, the Sienna has 10 airbags, covering all seating rows, and features Toyota’s Star Safety System with Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, and Anti-lock Brakes. Additional safety features include a rear seatbelt reminder, Electric Parking Brake, and the Advanced Rear Seat Reminder system.
HYBRID AWD MARVEL
The 2025 Toyota Sienna exclusively features a hybrid powertrain, benefiting from Toyota's extensive experience in hybrid technology, known for its quality, durability, and reliability. The hybrid system delivers 245 horsepower and achieves an impressive fuel efficiency of 6.6 L/100 km for FWD models and 6.7 L/100 km for AWD models, ensuring smooth yet powerful performance.
Drivers can choose from multiple driving modes, including EV for electric-only driving at low speeds, ECO for maximum fuel efficiency, NORMAL for everyday use, and SPORT for enhanced acceleration. The advanced gas engine incorporates cutting-edge features like a 14:1 compression ratio, D-4S fuel injection, and variable systems for cooling and oil flow, optimizing both performance and efficiency.
The minimal fuel consumption difference between FWD and AWD models is due to Toyota's innovative Electronic On-Demand AWD system, which uses an independent electric motor to power the rear wheels when needed, providing optimal traction and agility. This AWD system can send up to 80% of torque to the rear wheels during starts and adjust torque distribution dynamically for enhanced cornering and confidence in various driving conditions.
The MSRP for the 2025 Sienna will be announced closer to its arrival in dealerships in Fall 2024. For more information, visit Toyota's official site.
